In October, KarenLeslie Photography is offering mini sessions on 3 different days and at 3 different locations. Mini sessions are a great way to get the experience of a KarenLeslie Photography session for a great price. By holding these mini sessions in October, you can get some wonderful photos to use for holiday cards or as gifts to family and friends.

What you get:

$300

20 minute on location photography session with KarenLeslie Photography
10-15 proofs to make your final selections from
25 deluxe holiday cards OR 1 high resolution digital negative
$150 in print credit using VIP pricing

Mini Sessions will be held:

October 5 from 9am - 4:30pm at Dickson Azalea Park in Downtown Orlando (corner of Rosearden and Central)

October 18 from 9am - 4:30pm at Leu Gardens

October 26 from 9am - 4:30pm at Loch Haven Park

This adorable baby boy was not exactly a newborn, but at 2 months he still had some of that adorable new baby look to him. He was so good and patient with me at our session. He didn’t do much sleeping — I think he was more interested in checking everything out!

We got his brothers in on part of the session and they were so calm and patient!

Today I discovered a new favorite spot for photo sessions: Casa Feliz in Winter Park. I had been there before … and was even photographed there as we got married at that location. But, I had not done a session there yet. So, when my client suggested Casa Feliz, I was so excited! From looking at these photos, you’ll think that I have a really easy job. But, just ask Mom (who was wanting a nap at the end of the session!) … kids and dogs really make you work for the good photos. :) But, that’s ok … that’s why I like my job so much! I’d also like to say a special thank you to Nana, who came along and was such a great help

Baby Turns One

One of my Baby Plan babies turned one last month and between tropical storms and matching calendars, we finally were able to get together to do her last session. We met at Leu Gardens and had a really fun session. Isn’t this family just beautiful??

Just a reminder that I’m now taking reservations for my Holiday Mini Sessions as well as standard sessions during October, November and December. The schedule is quickly fillings, so don’t delay in getting your preferred date and time!

{2008 Holiday Card Designs: Traditional}

My 2008 holiday card designs are ready. I’m offering 6 traditional designs and 6 contemporary designs.

Holiday cards are 5×7″ press printed, double sided cards that come with white envelopes with postage already on them. (Isn’t that convenient?!)

Cards come in sets of 25 and are $85 per set.

You can customize the cards by choosing photos, text, and number of photos.

Today I’m showcasing the traditional designs. This is 4 of the 6 designs with example photos inserted into them. Stay tuned later this week and next week for examples of the contemporary designs.

{2008 Holiday Sessions}

I know I promised this information weeks ago, but I’ve finally finalized my 2008 holiday sessions. In order to meet everyone’s needs I have two different session types available:

1. Full Session with Bonus Press Printed Cards

For all full sessions booked in September - November 2008, I’m offering a bonus gift of 50 press printed holiday cards with the purchase of the Millenium II and Park Avenue Collections. Full sessions are the way to go if you are looking for not only holiday cards, but also some gifts to share with family and friends — as well as some amazing family portraits for your walls. Full sessions can take place anywhere in the Central Florida area (I’ve got some great suggestions!) and last anywhere from 60-90 minutes. You are welcome to bring clothing changes, so you can have everyone in the perfect holiday outfit and also take some photos of everyone in non-holiday attire for gifts for yourself and family. (Please note that some locations may not have changing facilities so you need to plan for that.) Full sessions can take place during the week, or the weekend. Full sessions require a $100 deposit to hold your date/time.

2. Mini Sessions

My mini sessions are really popular and perfect if you are looking for a few photos for your 2008 holiday card. Mini sessions last 20 minutes and don’t allow for any clothing changes. You will receive 8-10 proofs to choose from. Mini sessions are only available at specific dates and locations (see below). This year’s mini sessions are $300 and include: 25 press-printed holiday cards OR 1 high resolution digital negative AND $150 in gift print credit at VIP pricing (choose from wallets, 5×7″ and 8×10″). You can also purchase additional prints at VIP pricing. Mini sessions require the full amount to be paid at the time of reserving your date/time. Check and credit card are accepted.

{Opposites}

I haven’t shared a dog session in the blog lately, so I was so excited when this family booked me to photograph their two toy poodles. We had great fun at their session — I just loved each dog’s personality. They could not have been more different — both in color and in personality. One was totally laid back and the other was quite gregarious. :) Enjoy your preview.

For those who have been around since the beginning of KarenLeslie Photography may remember this little girl from 2006. I did her 5 month portraits and she was just so much fun to photograph … so full of joy. I’ve had the pleasure of photographing her 2 more times since then and I’m happy to report that she has as much joy inside her as she did when I first met her. We did her session this time in the studio. What a bundle of personality! It was so much fun photographing her.

{6 Months}

This little sweetheart is from a family that I really love. We’ve done a number of sessions over the years and I tell everyone that I should just send all my prospective clients over to their house because their walls are adorned with the photos we’ve taken. Last February I had the pleasure of photographing the newest member of the family … a sweet baby girl. Six months later she was back for some more photos and she’s just as cute as can be! Since its August and so darn hot outside we decided to do the session in my Winter Park studio. Studio sessions work great for 6 month olds and this cutie turned on all her charm for us.

This little one decided to come a few weeks early, so Mom and Dad spent some time getting her nice and plump for our photos. Even though she wasn’t officially a “newborn” she still slept like a champ and was so good for her photo session. The flower you see in some of the photos was provided by Mom, who purchased it at Threads on Park Avenue in Winter Park. I loved it so much that I went out the next day and grabbed one for myself!
