I was so honored to be asked to photograph this beautiful couple. Jackie is our babysitter and one of the best (if I do say so myself) babysitters around. My little girl adores “Miss Jack”. I had such a fun time photographing this couple, both for their engagement photos and again for their wedding reception in Longwood. Brent & Jackie, I wish you all the best in your beautiful life together!

Last weekend I met Brent & Jackie on Park Avenue for a fun engagement shoot. The weather was gorgeous and we had a bunch of fun. I’m excited to photograph their reception in July.

Tanya & Adrian :: New York City Reception

I recently had the honor of being asked to photograph a wedding reception in New York City. Of course, I jumped at the opportunity – what fun to shoot in a completely new location, and one as fabulous as New York City! Tanya & Adrian were married last month in Cabo, Mexico surrounded by a few family and friends. They wanted to share in the celebration with more of their family and friends, so they planned a wedding reception in New York City.

It was a beautiful day, even though it was cold – around 38 degrees! The views were spectacular because they chose a magnificant location on top of one of SOHO’s business towers – complete with an outdoor deck that had views of Manhattan. The reception was everything they are as individuals and a couple: fun, sophisticated, warm, beautiful. I have so many favorites from the day that it was so hard to pick just a few for this blog post. You can see that I included more than I usually do, but I really wanted to give you a sense for the day. Enjoy!

Jennette & Kevin :: Orlando Wedding Photographer

Remember when I said a few weeks ago that I don’t do weddings…. haha. Well, its quite ironic that I’ve had two last month. I have to say though in each case, the wedding was the perfect one for me to photograph. The first one (already posted) was a dear family that I had photographed in the past and was so happy to see again. In this case, I absolutely loved the bride and groom … its just a shame that they live in Dubai, and not closer. Regardless, they were in town with friends and family from all over the world to share in a wedding celebration. The wedding was held at the English Gardens in Winter Park … a beautiful setting. It was simple, elegant, and so lovely. There are so many pictures I wanted to share, but don’t really have the space on here. So, I tried to pick out a representative sample. What I wanted to show was that this couple was fun, spirited, down to earth and just overall great people. There was lots of smiles, laughter, goofing, serious moments, tears and pure love that surrounded the day.

One of the requests was to set up a photo booth at the wedding to get some fun shots of the guests. And, we did. What fun!

I don’t do weddings … :: Orlando Family Photographer

… except when a client asks me nicely. Actually, I have done a few small, intimate weddings and I do enjoy photographing them. How can you not get caught up in all the beautiful moments and love that surrounds an event like a wedding? I met Jill three years ago when her parents hired me to do some family pictures at their home in Lake Mary. In fact, her mom and sister were both telling me that they still have the pictures from that session hung at their homes. In fact, this one from 2007 seems to be a particular favorite:

Fast forward to a few months ago and Jill emailed me telling me she was getting married and would I be her wedding photographer. I couldn’t say no. After all, we just *had* to update the photo above, with a more current version:

The wedding was held at the Heathrow Country Club and was simple, beautiful and so full of love and laughter. I wanted to get some previews up quickly (wedding was just yesterday evening!) to share with everyone this lovely event. Congratulations again, Jill and Jeff. May your future life together be filled with much laughter and love.

This weekend I met Heather & Dave at Rollins College (site of their upcoming wedding) for a very fun engagement session. They are so adorable together! Had to put up a quick preview since they insisted they were not very photogenic. I beg to differ!!

I’m saving my very favorite one for last.

Ok, don’t you agree? They are absolutely adorable.

If you know someone getting married, send them my way. I *love* doing engagement sessions.

{Wedding: Courtney + Frank}

A few weeks ago I posted a preview of Courtney & Frank’s wedding that we photographed. They were married March 7, 2008 at Maitland Art Center. Their reception was held at the Winter Park Farmer’s market. I first met Courtney & Frank last year at another wedding I photographed. They hired me to take their engagement photos and were insistent that I work with them at their wedding. I have to be honest in that I debated for a while as to whether I wanted to do that. Not because Courtney and Frank weren’t awesome to work with (plus they have a kick ass dog named Gunther)…. but I debated on whether I really wanted to dip my toe into the world of wedding photography. I said yes, and I have to say that I’m so glad I did. The wedding was gorgeous! Even though rain threatened the entire day, we had beautiful light for photographs. And, I have to say that there reception ROCKED.

Congratulations Courtney & Frank. We wish you the absolute best in your new life together.

I’m really behind in posting these, so my apologies in advance to Courtney + Frank — who I know are most anxious to see these. This was a really beautiful wedding I photographed in March. I met Courtney and Frank at another wedding I photographed last year …. did their engagement photos … and then they asked me to also photograph their wedding. It was my pleasure.
