Oh my goodness!  I cannot even begin to tell you how adorable this little one is and how good he was for our photography session.  I’m really going to have a hard time editing this session! Daddy (as you can see in the last photograph) is a firefighter with the Orlando Fire Department.  Mom wanted that incorporated into our maternity and newborn sessions, and I think it turned out great.  Enjoy your preview!

I’ve been swamped with maternity sessions lately … but you don’t hear me complaining.  I love doing them!  Plus, the bonus is that there’s a newborn session right around the corner. Yay!  This past weekend I had two maternity sessions and had a blast collaborating on the creativity of each sessions with the beautiful mamas-to-be. I’m so excited to share these photos with mom & dad because it took a lot of work to get this little girl photographed – ha!  The goal for most newborn sessions is to get the baby into a deep sleep so I can get all those adorable sleepy, squishy newborn poses.  Well, this little girl had some ideas of her own!  (I can totally relate because my daughter is exactly the same.)  Mom and I did get her to sleep … for a little bit.  But, it really did seem quite appropriate to photograph her wide awake!

See? She really did sleep!

And, aren’t you in love with all of her beautiful dark hair! Her Daddy’s going to have to be on his toes for sure!

Right before the holidays I received a call from the father of this beautiful family asking to buy a maternity & newborn session for his wife as a surprise for Christmas.  I love that!  Shortly after the new year, his wife called to confirm a few details and we set up our session.  I loved working with this family because they are already filled with such love … that the little one who is about to make her appearance in about a month will be so lucky to be the newest addition.  She already has two doting sisters, a wonderful aunt and lovely mom & dad.

This is one of my favorites from the session.  It was actually mom’s request to have the families hands on her belly.  Love.

Another favorite from the session.  Mom’s sister was at the session – being a fantastic helper.  We couldn’t leave her out, especially when I saw the great connection these sisters – and best friends – have.
