And then there were 17

December 2, 2009

I know a lot of photographers who shy away from larger family groups because so many people can be quite overwhelming. Honestly, I love doing large family groups … especially when they have such fun energy, like this family. We met in Winter Park — right off Park Avenue — to do our session. This group was up for anything — kids and adults alike! I really enjoyed meeting all of you and I hope you had a good rest of your visit.

Time Passes Too Quickly

November 25, 2009

About 2 1/2 years ago, I photographed this little cutie when he was just days old. So, when mom called to schedule a session this year, I was excited to see how he had grown! There is something about this age (2- 3) that is so fun … and difficult at the same time. I had to work hard for this session. ;) What I’m learning is that you have to throw all your expectations out the window … and just go with the flow. And, maybe that’s a really important life lesson to apply to life.

Location is downtown Sanford, which is a really wonderful location for anyone who is interested in an Urban style session.

{Rockin’ Shoot}

August 26, 2009

Every so often a few of the other local Orlando portrait photographers and I get together and do a photo shoot. Sometimes it has a theme, sometimes it doesn’t. Yesterday afternoon, we did an Urban Grunge Rock shoot in Sanford. It was so much fun! I’m sharing these photos to show you how much fun a few props and appropriate attire can be for a photo session. Sometimes its fun to step outside of the box!

When you schedule your photo session with KarenLeslie Photography, we can talk about the mood/attitude/feel you want for your session. That’s the good thing about hiring a custom photographer such as KarenLeslie Photography – you get a custom experience!

Another adorable family from Saturday’s Mini Sessions in conjunction with Tiny Toes Children’s Shoes in Baldwin Park.

And I absolutely love this next series. Wouldn’t they look amazing framed next to one another? What a beautiful story they tell.

This past Saturday I did the mini sessions in conjunction with Tiny Toes Children’s Shoes in Baldwin Park. We got really lucky and actually had great weather for the sessions! I couldn’t believe it.

The back alleys and parks of Baldwin Park made for some great backdrops.

Plus, the week of rain we had made the grass really green!

Check back tomorrow for some more great images.

{Golden Light}

April 22, 2009

I had the most beautiful light during a session last night. I was so excited to see the images that I couldn’t stop from editing a few to share right away. This little girl was a great subject to photograph and her Mom brought the best clothes along! This was another session done on the campus of Rollins College.

I had a fantastic senior session yesterday on the campus of Rollins College. Beautiful weather and I’m so glad she agreed to meet me so early. We had beautiful light! I think we were done with our session before most students were awake yesterday.

Did I mention that she has the best name?? I’m really into names and I *loved* hers.

{Family Session}

April 13, 2009

I’ve known this family for a couple of years now and have been photographing their youngest two since before they were born (we did a maternity session before the middle guy was born). They are a really great family and I’m happy to consider them friends now. We met on Saturday for a family session and had an absolute blast! I love the bright red/white/blue that Mom picked out for everyone to wear. Everyone looks great together without completely matching one another.

{Two}

April 7, 2009

This is actually the second time I had the pleasure of photographing this adorable little girl. The first time was last year for her first birthday. I was happy to see her again on her second birthday. We did our session at the beautiful Dickson Azalea Park in downtown Orlando. I’m really loving this location. Enjoy these photos of this gorgeous beauty…

One Year

March 31, 2009

I love watching my clients grow up right before my eyes … and trust me, it sure does go quickly. This little cutie has become quite the adorable little girl over the last year. Here she was last March:
