Ok, please forgive me, but when you are photographing two young boys and need to get them engaged and laughing, there’s no better question than: “who in your family has the smelliest farts?” And, when you ask said question, you get something like this:

So, you see it works. Of course it also helps when two brothers are so close and just wonderful to one another. Obviously, because they have two parents who love one another.
And I know I’ve done a good job when Mom sends me an email after that says: “Beautiful! I am convinced that we need to do this every year from now on! And I have to say I had some teary moments looking at the slideshow which I didn’t think I would but I DID!”
