It’s time for the fifth week of Project 52: I’ve joined with 15 other photographers from around the world in a creative photography project. I’m calling it Project 52 and what it is is a weekly creative exercise using photography. Every week, our group receives a “theme” and we are tasked with interpreting and representing that theme through our photography. Here’s the cool part: in addition to showing our own work on our blogs, we are also each linking to another member of the group. By “following” all the links, you’ll be able to experience what each of us creates for that week. Cool, huh?
This week’s theme is “feet.” What immediately came to mind is my daughter’s obsession with shoes. (Or, rather its more about her obsession with being able to put on her own shoes. She’s a bit independent.) Her absolutely favorite shoes are her boots (or “boops” as she calls them). They are a pair of plastic Old Navy boots that I bought at a local consignment shop. I thought they were cute, fun and would look good in some photos. Little did I know I’d be buying her absolute favorite thing in the world when she was two. We were out in the yard yesterday with her ballerina skirt and boots (her outfit of choice when she got up from her nap) — just exploring her little world. The first photo I’m posting really “spoke” to me. To me, it is a good representation of her at this age.
