I love dog and I love their owners – they are some of the nicest people I’ve ever met.  I photographed this sweet pug a couple of years ago.  This year, his mom called me to do a mini session at his house so she could get some new photos for Father’s Day.  Love that! Can’t you tell he loves the camera?

Editing these photos just made me smile.  This little man was so much fun to work with — definitely laid back and easy going.  Oh, and he’s adorable too!

I love when parents want to include something special and personal in the photos.  On the last photo on the bottom left, Baby G is laying on a quilt that his grandma made him.  It is a beautiful piece and I’m so glad we could incorporate it into his photos. :)

About a month ago I received a call from a family in Chicago who was planning a trip to Disney with his extended family.  They were interested in booking a session with me while they were here in town.  I had them meet me early in the morning (to avoid our notorious Florida afternoon thunderstorms) and maybe even to avoid some of the heat (even thought you can’t possibly avoid the humidity this time of year) at one of my favorite spots on Disney property. I have to tell you that these were some of the nicest people with such well-behaved kids.  The oldest boy came up to me at the beginning and introduced his little cousin to me.  How cute! (And polite!)  Kudos to mom and dad on raising him right!

I’m on a posting roll this week!  I couldn’t wait to share this sweet session with one of my former newborn clients who is now 7 months old!  One of the favorite parts of my job is seeing my clients grow up.

A photographer friend recently shared a term that I really love: happy snaps.  Happy Snaps are those photos you take (with camera, camera phone, etc.) of your day-to-day life.  They may not be photos that you want to frame and hang on the wall, but they are a piece of you and your life.  And, they make you happy.  I love that.  I get asked all the time if I have a ton of photos of my daughter.  I do, like any other mother out there, but they aren’t always taken with my “good camera”.  In fact, I only bring the good camera out about once a month.  All the other in between photos are usually taken with my iPhone camera.  I have a couple of camera processing apps on my iPhone that seem to make the photos just a bit more interesting.  For example, the photo I’m posting below is processed with the Shake It Photo App.  I thought I’d share some of my Happy Snaps with you from time-to-time.  This one was taken this weekend when we were on the road.  It made me laugh and that’s what happy snaps are all about.

I have to say that some of my favorite photos are those that capture the sweet moment between Dads and their kids.  Since Father’s Day is coming up soon (June 20th!) I’d like to offer a special package to celebrate Dad.  For the next 5 Days, you can purchase an ALL DIGITAL collection for just $750.  That includes the session fee (value $200), plus all the edited digital files from the session (value $1000). I’ll package up this gift so that you can give it to him on Father’s Day.

Meet Dr. Hudgens.  She’s recently opened a new dermatology practice in the Dr. Phillips area called the Dermatology & Skin Center Center and hired KarenLeslie Photography to take some photos for her new website (and maybe a few to hang on the walls of her house).  She has a very sweet family — just look at those two boys!  I really enjoyed meeting her and her staff and will share more details on her new website/practice once its up and running.
