On Saturday, May 10, 2008, KarenLeslie Photography is holding a special day of mini sessions at Leu Gardens. What is a mini session? A mini session is an abbreviated version of a standard photo session: a mini session lasts only 20 minutes. It is priced so that you can get a “taste” of a full KarenLeslie Photography session at a reduced rate. The cost of the mini session is $199 and includes: 10-15 proofs to choose from and your choice of 2 gift prints (wallets, 5×7″ or 8×12″) and 1 wall portrait (11×14″, 16×20″ or 20×30″). I’ve given you a lot of flexibility in your final product by offering you the choice of what size you want. You also have the opportunity to purchase additional images in all of the standard sizes I offer.

On May 10, the mini sessions will be held at the beautiful Leu Gardens, just north of downtown Orlando at the intersection of Corrine Dr. and Virginia Dr. Leu Gardens is one of Orlando’s most prized possessions showcasing 50 acres of southern-style gardens. Your photography session will be held with a background of lush green plants, magnificent southern oak trees and beautiful wildflowers that are in bloom right now. The price of your mini session includes admission to the gardens, so you can plan to enjoy some extra time at Leu Gardens after your session. Mini sessions make a PERFECT Mother’s Day gift.

**Special Offer! Tell a friend and if they book a mini session as well, both of you will receive one additional gift print (wallet, 5×7″ or 8×12″).

Sessions are quickly booking up, so call or email today to reserve your spot.

{Cuteness x100}

April 25, 2008

The other day I had the pleasure of meeting the owners of Laurel Wynd in Ormond Beach, FL. They are breeders of West Highland Terriers. Not only are they some of the nicest people I’ve met, but their puppies are CUTE, CUTE, CUTE. Their latest litter of 5 puppies were ready for their photo shoot. With the help of several people (you just cannot imagine what was going on in the background as these photos were taken! ha!), we were able to capture the adorable nature of these puppies.

Just after our session, this was taken minutes before they were all sound asleep.

{Newborn L}

April 24, 2008

Sorry about the one day delay on sharing these with you. But, trust me … it was worth the wait. This is Baby L — my most recent newborn. I actually met his family in 2006 as Mom & Dad were preparing for his big brother to be born. I did his newborn photos a little over a year ago and part way into his Baby Plan Year, Mom announced the new little brother. So, along comes Baby L. You’ll get to see him grow up here as well since Mom & Dad decided to go with another Baby Year Plan. Yay! :) I love watching my newborns grow up.

Getting your photos taken is tiring business. However, while we got lots of yawns, we also got lots of wide-away shots. He didn’t want to miss a second!

Every now and then we managed to catch him asleep. :)

Mommas got her hands full. ;)

And, oh boy, he tried really hard to stay awake.

But, in the end, sleep won out.

{Heather + Dave}

April 21, 2008

This weekend I met Heather & Dave at Rollins College (site of their upcoming wedding) for a very fun engagement session. They are so adorable together! :) Had to put up a quick preview since they insisted they were not very photogenic. I beg to differ!!

I’m saving my very favorite one for last.

Ok, don’t you agree? They are absolutely adorable. :)

If you know someone getting married, send them my way. I *love* doing engagement sessions.

Also, stay tuned tomorrow for some really adorable newborn photos!

A few weeks ago I posted a preview of Courtney & Frank’s wedding that we photographed. They were married March 7, 2008 at Maitland Art Center. Their reception was held at the Winter Park Farmer’s market. I first met Courtney & Frank last year at another wedding I photographed. They hired me to take their engagement photos and were insistent that I work with them at their wedding. I have to be honest in that I debated for a while as to whether I wanted to do that. Not because Courtney and Frank weren’t awesome to work with (plus they have a kick ass dog named Gunther)…. but I debated on whether I really wanted to dip my toe into the world of wedding photography. I said yes, and I have to say that I’m so glad I did. The wedding was gorgeous! Even though rain threatened the entire day, we had beautiful light for photographs. And, I have to say that there reception ROCKED.

Congratulations Courtney & Frank. We wish you the absolute best in your new life together.

Here’s a few more images in their slideshow. (Click on their names below.) I wish I could have included all the proofs, but my software was not allowing me to make a major motion picture. ;)

{Sweet Dogs}

April 15, 2008

I had so much fun visiting with these sweet dogs last week. I promised mom a sneak peek last week, but didn’t get to it until today (sorry for the delay!)

Family

April 14, 2008

Last December I received a call inquiring about purchasing a gift certficate for his boss. “He is such a great family man, we could think of no better holiday gift than to get him a gift certificate for photographs of his family.” I loved that.

So, fast forward to a few weeks ago when I met this wonderful family for a photo session at Loch Haven Park, just north of Downtown Orlando. I so enjoyed meeting them and their two (very polite and well-behaved!) boys. Enjoy!

Senior

April 11, 2008

Earlier this week, I had the pleasure of meeting Macey and Kris, her Mom, to do her senior portraits. They were on vacation from Michigan and staying at the Marriott Grand Vista property in Orlando. What a fantastic location to do a session … and what a beautiful subject I had to work with. :)

Getting Bigger

April 9, 2008

This little sweetie is on a Baby’s First Year plan with me, so I have the pleasure of watching her grow up. This was session #2 and she is just as cute as can be. :) We made great use of all the wonderful light in her home.

My favorite from our session. Look at all that beautiful light in her bedroom.

Sister + Brother

April 7, 2008

I had so much fun photographing this adorable sister and brother. We did something slightly different in that we spent most of their session in the studio to get a very specific look. I really like how the entire session turned out. Both of these kids were not only adorable but incredibly well behaved. The little one is only 3 and he was a champ when it came to his turn to be photographed. :)
