When I was growing up, Mom would schedule the Olan Mills photo session every other year. As a family, we would head to the studio … all dressed to the nines … to sit (somewhat uncomfortably) in the studio and have our portrait made. Boy, things sure have changed! I don’t think I would have minded a photo session that included playing outside in a park, with a really cool oak tree with branches that dipped to the ground — perfect for climbing!

I met this family at Loch Haven Park recently to have their family portraits taken. Forget the studio … we used nature’s studio!

This guy was loaded with personality and I love this moment that I captured. Its one of my favorites from the entire session!
